Ashby U3A (University of the Third Age) is the local branch of the National U3A. It is now 6 years old.
It promotes lifelong learning in a fun, friendly and enjoyable way.
It exists for retired or semi-retired people who want to share their knowledge, experience and talents with others.
It is a good way to get out and try new things in a sociable environment.
It is never too late to expand your horizons so why not give it a go!!
As well as a monthly speaker, there are 21 interest groups including:- Arts & Crafts, Bird Watching, Bridge, Calligraphy, Computing, Digital Photography, Drawing and Painting, Family History, Gardening, History, Industrial Heritage, Italian, Literature, Luncheon, Music Appreciation, Quiz, Recorder and Trips & Visits plus 3 Walking Groups (short, medium and longer). More are added regularly.
Everyone is most welcome to join us. We are very keen to have new members.
The charge is only one pound for visitors at our monthly meetings so why not join in and give it a chance.
