Ashby Croquet Club

Ashby Croquet Club welcomes new members. We play on three full-size croquet lawns at the Moira Miners Welfare sports ground, Bath Lane, Moira, which provide us with some of the best croquet facilities in the East Midlands.

Croquet is a fun and fascinating game, suitable for all ages and all levels of physical fitness. It can be played as a fun sociable game or as a challenging tactical sport from club level right up to international level. We are a friendly club and we also have a full social programme during the winter months.

Come along and try croquet for yourself: just turn up at any of our main club sessions on Tuesday & Thursday 5pm to 7pm or Sunday afternoons 2.30pm to 5pm. All equipment is provided; please wear trainers or flat-soled shoes.

The Club runs Learn To Play Croquet courses in May/June each year, and also croquet taster sessions for outside groups.

We offer reduced membership rates to new players in their first two seasons.

If you are interested in joining the Club, or would like any further details, just come along to one of our club sessions, or contact the Club Secretary Derek Buxton (tel. 01283 703585), or visit our website www.ashbycroquetclub.org.uk.
